Well, if you get anytime when you are in Chicago, let me know, and I will see if I can come down!! Maybe we can do a meal or something. Are you flying into O'Hare?
And I totally understand about the "hiring freeze". We are not officially on one here, but we have done many redeployments (cutting a department/position, then placing them in another one in our company) and other creative things (flexible staffing, etc) to not have to do lay-offs. It'll pick up again!
Miss you!! If you ever hear that Nemours is looking for someone for Human Resources, let me know (I am checking occasionally for jobs like that in Jax). We think we would like to eventually go back to Jax! (=
Hey you! I'm the first to comment... woo hoo! Love you!

What was your arts area major?
Vocal Music
What year did you graduate? (Or what year would you have graduated?)
2000
What do you do now?
After high school I went off to FSU and dabbled in the Music Therapy program, but the only thing I really liked were the guitar classes...so I left the major. I floated around for a while in Chemistry, Nursing, and finally settled in Management of Information Systems (Business and Computers) with a minor in Computer Science, which is a far cry from music! :)
I sang with my church worship band for years, and then after graduation I moved back to Jacksonville and started singing with the symphony. In Jax I found my current job working as an Application Analyst for Nemours Children's Clinic and I've been there for 3 years now. In July of '07 I moved back to Tallahassee to start my masters program, and took my job with me. So right now I work full time from home, go to classes full time, hold a research assistant position with the University, and otherwise try to find time to keep myself sane :)
