That's awesome!
We got a little scare from Faye but it was awesome how much rain she brought that the state really needed. Especially in this area.
My mom had neighbors with damage but she must be a prayerful woman because she got past this one and Frances.
Two F Hurricanes. Interesting. :-)

Von - I think it is great that you want to be an admin. - the world could use a few good ones :) It has been about 5 years since I took the social studies exam, but I remember it had a good bit of American History content, and more Economics questions than I would have cared to see. I taught Euro and World, but I found the knowledge somewhere buried in my brain to pass those questions :) I would suggest maybe finding someone who is about to take the test, and either study with them, or have them call you right after they take it. I was lucky that the year I took it there were a bunch of teachers in my dept. who were starting out and also had to take it, so we were able to support one another.

At what school do you teach? Thanks for the little man compliment - he is like a little man too - hard to figure out sometimes :-)

Take care,
Lara

Hey Lara, thanks for replying. I absolutely love teaching and I am currently persuing my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership with hopes of landing a position of Assistant Principal by next school year. There are so many channels that you have to go through before you become "The Principal", but I am patient and look forward to it. I wanted to ask you if had taken and passed the 6-12 Social Science subject area test? If so, can you give me some pointers for studying? I am Middle Grades Integrated certified, but love Social Studies alot and want to add it to my certificate. Let me know and you take care of yourself and that handsome little man of yours....

Lara, hello and how are you? The last time we talked was at the Social Studies workshop in 2005. We were supposed to keep in contact and never did, so I guess this is our time to make up for lost time..Talk with you soon!!!!

Hi! It's great to hear from you. I had other friends move to San Diego and they love it. I'm always hearing about how pretty it is there. I've been in Boston for 13 years. I love it here, except the winters can be brutal. BTW, That's a really cute pic of you and your son.

Look at you Mamsita!!
It is so wonderful to hear from you. He is so cute!
I am pursuing singing with all I can at this point. I am happy to report that I just returned from the Schlern International Music Festival and Competition, where I won the First Place Voice Prize.
I had a Masterclass with a Russian from the Moscow Conservatory and he said, "It is not too late but there is too much work to do." In other words, I better get to learning it right away.
So... did you marry the Nickel Creek guy? From the Freebird concert?
Hmmm... California. I loved it there and I was in LA!!!!
Hollywood, not so much!
Love yoU!

Hey! How are you? When did you move to CA? I have been in Boston since 1995 and I love it (except when the winters get nasty). I'm a 6th grade teacher, what about you?
