What do you do now?

After high school I lived in Orlando, Philadelphia and back home in Jacksonville. I traveled the country racing motorcycles for a few years. I met my beautiful wife along the way. Then when I was running out of money I got a great oppertunity with Kawasaki as a test rider. Now I travel the World developing bikes for Kawasaki. I've seen some really cool places along the way. Japan, Malaysia and Qatar. But, after all the jet setting there is no place like home. I love Southern California and love being home with my family. My wife and I are expecting our first daughter any day now. We have been truely blessed in life.

She sleeps for 6 hours at a time, so if we plan it right we can feed her at bed time and actually sleep through the night. I hope it lasts!

Anyway, she is so beautiful! She's already daddy's little girl!

At 2:06pm on August 5, 2008, Derek Keyes said…: Things are super busy. We toured the hospital last night and start the birthing classes next week. We have about a month to go. I'm excited. I guess I've just been waiting for so long I started to just be over it. But now it's right around the corner and it's starting to set in that I'm going to be a dad soon. One of my really good friends back home just had their baby last night and my other friend is expecting his any day now. It's kind of neat when you go through this with your buddies at the same time.
