This is a great site, and way to organize our class for next year. We are privileged to have such a leader for our class. I imagine you've spent a lot of personal time getting this thing rolling. So, to start a string to give honor where it is due... Just wanted to say, Thanks Ray!
Thanks for the props. I really appreciate it. I have been putting in a good bit of time contacting everyone and getting this site working. Thank you all for responding promptly and signing up. I'm really glad you are all enjoying this and using it.
Funny story to share, remember the old Yahoo! Group that I set up years ago? I lost the password to the main email address that I created that group with "dasota1999@yahoo.com" So, I tried to log in with my email address now, and I just got this email in my box from the group...
"Hello, this is Ray Hollister the Class Reunion President for the Douglas Anderson School of the Arts Class of 1999.
If you are reading this email it is because your membership request for the Yahoo Group called DASOTA1999, has been rejected. This has happened because you either are not a member of the graduating class of 1999 from Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, Jacksonville, FL or you are otherwise not welcomed into the group. Regardless, you are not welcome to be a member of this group. If you feel that this incorrect, unjust, or unwarranted, you may email us at DASOTA1999@yahoo.com to plead your case. Otherwise, do not attempt to rejoin this group using another email address or Yahoo! screenname as you will be charged with harrassment.
Thank you,
Ray Hollister
DASOTA Class of 1999 Reunion Committee"
I guess I had it set to automatically deny someone if I didn't respond within a certain timeframe! It was weird getting rejected by myself!
I agree with all the props given. It's awesome that somebody took the time and initiative do this - and we all get to reep the benefits! Big thanks from me as well, Ray!
I, for one, must say that I hope you have been able to log some of your hours working on this reunion thing at your cushy government job. With all sincerity (although I know it will sound a tad crass), I like to think of some of "my tax dollars at work" going towards your pay while you put together our reunion site!!!! Kudos, good sir! :-) :-)
